Palestinian Territories – The Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC) calls on all international press organizations to issue a unified statement demanding immediate action to halt Israel’s ongoing massacre of Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip.
PJPC stresses that such a coordinated move has become an urgent and critical priority in light of the Israeli military’s assassination of five journalists from Al Jazeera’s team, including correspondents Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Qureiqea, who were targeted inside a journalists’ tent at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The Israeli military proudly admitted to the killing, further underscoring the blatant disregard for the lives of journalists.
PJPC underscores that this crime occurred at a critical moment, as the Israeli military prepares to launch a new, large-scale offensive in Gaza City and other areas of the Strip, an indication of an attempt to impose a total media blackout and conceal the truth about ongoing crimes of killing and starvation against Palestinian civilians.
